James Reese Whalen

Mr. Whalen loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and golfing. James was a 22 year member of the Pennsylvania American Legion Post 347. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Mr. Whalen is survived by his children, Kim Whalen of Pierson, MI, Christine Redner of Sidney, MI, Todd Celia Whalen of Pierson, MI; grandchildren, Anthony and KaiLoni Redner and Savannah Whalen; also surviving are two brothers, Doug Whalen of Byron Center, MI, Patrick Whalen of Pennsylvania; niece Brandy Lawson of Howard City, MI and the North Kent “Dream Team”.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center. The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
