John J. Meengs

MEENGS - John Meengs, age 85, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord Saturday, September 10, 2005.

Surviving are his wife, Theresea VanderWood; his children, J. Gary Pamela Meengs of Grandville, Patricia Roland Jager of Byron Center, Paul Dannie Meengs of Belmont, Phyllis William Meal of Median, OH; his grandchildren, Christopher Tracy Meengs, Jonathan Sara Meengs, Mark Meengs, Kerin Meengs, Adam Tina Jager, Aaron Jenn Jager, Andrea Jager, Shauna Meengs, Jason Fiancee, Stephanie Kiehl Bloch, Devin Neal and Travis Neal; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Merle Evelyn Meengs of Byron Center; his sister, Beth Hop of Zeeland; sister-in-law, Maxine VanderWood; brother-in-law, John VanderWood.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bryon Center First Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. Thomas K. Groelsema officiating.

Interment at Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Byron Center Chapel of Cook Funeral Home 2067 - 84th Street and Wednesday 10 top 10:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland Home or charity of one’s choice.
