VANDER WOOD Mr. John Kenneth Vander Wood, age 82, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. John was born April 19, 1931 in Grandville, Michigan to Gerritt and Anna (DeYoung) Vander Wood. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Dwayne J. Vander Wood.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary; children, Dave (Deborah) Vander Wood, Pamela (Todd) Bursley, Doug (Sue) Vander Wood, and Sam Comer Vander Wood; step-children, Mari Comer, Robert (Melinda) Comer, and Michael (Tina) Pigeon; 31 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 PM, at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (east building).
