Our hearts feel what is so difficult for our tongues to express. Such great loss and huge hole in the lives of many. Even though we cannot be there in person, know that we stand beside you all quietly, with our arms around you; sharing this time of grief and loss.

Doug and Family, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Joyce. I worked with Joyce at Daimler Trucks and she was a very caring HR professional. She is remembered by many here at Thomas Built Buses. We maintained contact over the last few years through Joyce's home in North Carolina. It was only a few months ago that we had dinner together in Winston Salem and shared so many laughs together.

I am very saddened by the passing of a friend and fellow co-worker. I have only known Joyce for a little over five years, but during that time I had grown to enjoy Joyce's friendship and to respect her abilities in business. I will always remember Joyce as an intellegent woman who cared about people, especially her family. 
 My heart goes out to Doug and family. Joyce will be dearly missed...

Joyce was a fabulous person, friend and co-worker who cared about everyone she met and worked with. Her ability to just jump into issues and find great solutons and make everyone feel good in the process was an exceptional trait. We will all miss her but having known her makes us all better people. Doug and others of you who loved Joyce, I am so sad to hear of her passing. She had contacted me a couple of months ago with plans to come South to Fairhope and perhaps spend time with me on Dauphin Island (like she did a couple of years ago). I did not realize her cancer was so far advance and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Please know I will keep all of you in my prayers as you mourn your loss. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I look forward to seeing her again someday in our permanent home above

It is with much saddness that I learned of the passing of my friend Joyce. I enjoyed working with Joyce during her time at K-C. I looked forward to her ability to see the humor in every situation and was witness to her true joy in helping "her employees". Joyce genuinely cared about people and that caring was apparently to anyone who knew her. I knew Joyce to be a fighter, so I suspect she fought until the end. Rest peacefully, my friend. I will miss you. My deepest sympathy goes to Joyce's family. Your loss is great and I hope is eased by time and your lovely memories of Joyce.

My sympathies to the family: I worked with Joyce at Kimberly Clark in Belmont Michigan, even though our time was short she was a huge inspiration to myself and many others. Her outlook on everything just simply made your day easier, made you realize that what you have, is for now and to use it. She will be missed by many and remembered by many. I was sad and surprised to hear about Joyce's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and once was for her. I saw her as a strong, positive, and happy woman with a beautiful smile. I enjoyed working with her on the community committees at Kimberly-Clark. I also enjoyed our talks and lunches at the Lemmon-Holton Cancer Center. We also shared the passion for beautiful jewelry. She spoke highly of her spouse and her family. She will be sadly missed.

I have had the pleasure to work with Joyce on several PML programs and am deeply saddened by her passing.
 Joyce was a strong and wonderful woman and I feel very privileged to have known her.

Doug and family, I can't express enough how sad I am for you and for all who knew Joyce as it is a terrible loss. We met on a river cruise and I knew she was someone I wanted to know better. Her spirit, courage, warmth, and intelligence just overwhelmed me. We struck up a quick friendship and I so value the talks and emails we've shared. When September comes, I will be very sad as that is when we were to spend some quality time together. She made quite an impact on me and will be remembered fondly. I hope your memories help you through the loss.
