With his loving father at his side, Juan Carlos Garcia, age 45, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria de Jesus Garcia, and brother-in-law, Federico Belman.
Juan Carlos will be lovingly remembered by his father, Estanislao Garcia; siblings Lila Belman, Artemio (Rebecca) Garcia, Graciela (Antonio) Garcia de Hernandez, Isaίas (Zulma) Garcia, Teresa (René) Lopez, Antonio (Daisy) Garcia, Irma (José) Medrano, Ismael (Vero) Garcia, Jose Luis (Lety) Garcia; aunts, uncles, cousins; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
“Chispas” was the prankster of the Garcia siblings, always ready and willing to pull a prank on whomever crossed his path; though frustrating at times, we knew that was his way of showing affection and we are going to painfully miss those pranks now.
His other passion was the soccer team “Las Aguilas del America," which was very evident as he frequently wore that favorite yellow and blue shirt of his which had their logo on it. He rarely missed a game and enjoyed it even more when his family was beside him, cheering the team on.
We are so joyful that Juan Carlos recommitted his life to the Lord just a couple months prior to his passing; and, even though he knew his homecoming was near, it was very evident that he was at peace, without fear.
Visitation with Juan’s family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, with visitation beginning 11 a.m., at Manantial de Vida Church, 400 Franklin St. SW, Grand Rapids, 49503.
