POTTER-Judy Kay (Dykstra) Potter blessed this earth for 68 years. She entered the battle for her life with grace and beauty, and a never wavering trust in the Lord. Always knowing she would win, Monday August 4, 2014, she received her ultimate reward when she took Jesus' hand and entered Heaven. Greeted into Heaven by many family members and friends, she waited 15 years for the day she would be able to shower her love on her twin granddaughters, Katie and Nichole. We are greatly blessed by what we imagine that reunion looked like. She was married 7 days short of 50 years to the love of her life, Harvey. Their love and devotion to each other will serve as an example as how to do marriage right. Their unfailing care of each other through 48 years of health and 2 years of sickness showed us what "Great Love" is and can do. Born to be a mother, first to her 7 siblings and then 4 children, Curtis and Priscilla Potter, Kim and Steve Haaksma, Brian and Michele Potter and Cheri and Austin Bender. Judy was a loving, cookie baking grandma to David, Victor and Angelo; Mitchell, Emily, Stephi Jo, Matthew and Nathan; Jake, Katelyn and Faithy; Samantha, Kyle, Amanda, Cole, Noah and Nic and an amazing Great Grandma to Lyla, Kasey, Ava and Aiden who will be forever blessed by her immeasurable love and care. Lastly, she was a foster Mom to Jessica, Brittney and a handful of babies needing love and care. Also surviving are her father Don and Jean Dykstra; her mother-in-law Johanna Potter; her siblings, Terry and Shirley Dykstra, Jim Dykstra, Rick and Marylu Dykstra, Sally and Larry Prusinowski, Craig and Jo Dykstra, Sandy and Steve Ormiston, Brad and Cricket Dykstra; brothers and sisters-in-law Calvin and Suzanne Potter, Shirley and Gary Ensing and many nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank all her Doctors and Nurses for their incredible and compassionate care through Lacks Cancer Center. A special thank you to Sara (chemo nurse) mom felt Sara was her angel on earth, and her knowledge and experience exceeded any other. Sara, she loved you greatly and trusted you with her life. Judy made many new friends along this journey and loved them all; we saw that love returned to her over and over again.
