June Brewer-Toshalis

June Brewer-Toshalis, age 90, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Brewer; her brothers, Ray, John and Al Abrahamson. June will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 17 years, Ben Toshalis; her sons, Tom (Ginny), Jeff (Marcia), Pat (Diane) Brewer; her eight grandchildren; her four great grandchildren; her sister, Doris Abrahamson; Ben's children, Leanne (Terry) Numbers, Rev. Jerry (Barbara) Toshalis; his four grandchildren; and his great grandson.

June was an active lady for her whole life. She loved to study and learn about birds, sea shells, plants and flowers. June was also a pianist. Traveling, reading, poetry and card games were some of her other passions in life.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 2, at Grandville United Methodist Church, 3140 S. Wilson Ave. with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Jerry Toshalis will be officiating. In honor of June, contributions may be made to Grandville United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
