Kenneth Roger Fore, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, December 26, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wenda (Leys) Fore; daughters Valerie (Ronald) Alberda, Suzanne (Scott) Frost, and Sherri (Chris) Bak; grandchildren Christopher, Corey, Kristen, Cassie, Jessica, Nicholas, Cameron, Joshua, and Nathan; great-grandchildren Olivia and Natalie; brother, Bob (Sandi) Fore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Neal and Linda DeJongh; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Marian (Spees) Fore and great-granddaughter, Annabelle Alberda.
Ken was a long time member of Faith Reformed Church in Wyoming, MI, where he served as a deacon. He retired from Consumers Power Company, after 33 years of service. Ken had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing with his brother Bob, hunting with his friend Gordy, and the years he spent on the golf, bowling, and softball leagues with his buddies from Consumers. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, from wood carving, to furniture building, to making jewelry boxes, and candy and peanut machines. He loved to tinker, fix snow blowers, lawn mowers, pressure washers, leaf blowers, and more for family, friends, and neighbors. Ken was known for driving his green 1950 Ford pickup truck with the broom in the back, as well as his motorcycle, to work and around town. In his retirement years, he became quite the avid treasure hunter at the Goodwill Outlet, and was lovingly known as everyone’s “personal shopper.” Ken looked forward to his daily visits to Marge’s Donut Den, where he met up with many special friends. He became such a fixture at Marge’s that his picture appeared on several napkin holders on the tables there. He was loved and will be missed by so many.
