
Bill was a United States Army veteran, serving his country during WWII.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years Cecile Fredrickson Bird; children, Kermit “Dick” Jr. and Ruth Bird of Cedar Springs, Kal and Arlene Bird of Grandville, Kevin Bird of Lapeer, and Amy Bird of Rockford; grandchildren, David Heidi Bird, S.Sgt. Daniel Niki Bird, S.Sgt. Douglas Michelle Bird, Donald Jennifer Bird, Dana Bird, Daryl Bird, Derek Bird, Kimberly Bird, Kaitlin Bird, Kelsey Bird, Alex Bird, David Heather Hommersen, Mike Bird, Dennis Hommersen, Aimee Hommersen and Shawn Bird; and 18 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 16 at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St SW in Grandville.
Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may meet Bill’s family on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building in Grandville.
Contributions in memory of Bill may be made to Holland Home Hospice.
