Lennart Bror Johnson

Lennart Bror Johnson, age 92, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Bror and Rena Johnson, his brother Kenneth Johnson, his sister-in-law Anne Johnson, and his granddaughter Rebecca Johnson.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy, his sons Carl (Susan), Len (Jennie) and Stuart (Cathy); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Carl O. Johnson and Bernice (Ralph) Peterson; and by many nieces and nephews.

Len loved his family, his church and his country, and was proud to have served in the Army during WWII. He was also an avid Packard enthusiast, and a long time active member of the Grand Rapids Antique Car Club.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Vista Springs Assisted Living Center in Wyoming, and Hospice of Michigan. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Sandy Knight, Len and Judy’s long time neighbor and friend, for her many years of kindness, love and support.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 at Cook funeral Home (West Building) 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) Thursday, July 7, 2016 with visitation one hour prior at Christ Lutheran Church-2350 44th Street SW, Wyoming, MI. Patrick Blanchard and Karen Niemeyer will be officiating. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
