

Lyle served his country during WWII with the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #154 as well as belonging to the Knights of Columbus post # 4362.
Lyle was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Cerda; parents, Luciano and Juanita Cerda; uncle, Peter Cerda.
Surviving are his wife, Viola; step-children, William Dianne Duch, John Cindy Duch, Barbara Steven McArthur, Tina Thomas Grover, David Dalys Duch, and Mark Sheila Duch; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Otto Elizabeth Cerda, Secorra Cerda, Jo Russell, and Hope Golembiewski; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hubbard, Mary Jane Clarence Stratton, and Dorothy Hovingh; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, 11 A.M. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey SW, with Rev. Stephen Dudek presiding. Interment, with Military Honors, will be at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet Lyle's family Saturday from 7-9 P.M. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Cook Funeral Home east building, 4235 Prairie SW.
