Marcia Ruth Baker (Steketee)

BAKER (STEKETEE) Marcia Ruth Baker, age 87, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Baker; her infant daughter, Cristie Leigh Baker; her daughter-in-law, Gayle Baker; her great grandson, Brendan Hope Baker; her parents, Roger and Cora Steketee; her sisters, Eleanor Holtrop and Barbara Postma; Robert's siblings, Mildred Hop, Claude Baker.

Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dr. Steven Baker (Dr. Cathy Smith) and their children, Paul (Cynthia) Baker, Mike Baker and Debby (Bryan) Eckard; Randy (Jane) Baker and their children, Jason (Robin) Baker, Ryan (Heather) Baker, Mark (Sara) Baker, Ross (Sithan) Baker; Pat (Michael) Grzyb, and their daughter, Katy Grzyb; Jeff Baker and his step-son, Cory Stelter; Robert G. (Annette) Baker and their children, Tyler and Nicholas Baker; her great grandchildren, Claire, Jack, Lucy, Will, Ellery, Griffin, Caroline, Kendall, Paris and Christian Baker, Logan Eckard; her sister, Mary (Dr. B. Thomas) Duthler; her brothers-in-law, Fred Holtrop and Harold Postma; and many nieces and nephews.

Marcia and Robert were Charter Members of Olivet Reformed Church. Summers at Barlow Lake, having her family around her and especially family parties on holidays were so important to Marcia. They also enjoyed cruising for vacation. Most important to Marcia were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care of the staff at Cherrywood Manor and Faith Hospice. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Marcia's family will be held 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 27, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). A family graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery.
