Margaret Koster

KOSTER (PASTOOR) Mrs. Margaret Koster, age 94, of Jenison, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; her parents, John and Tena Pastoor; her brother, John Pastoor; her sister, Wilma Masselink; and her son-in-law, Calvin Vos.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her children, Philip (Susan) of Grand Haven, Marcia (Roger) DeKock of Grand Rapids, James (Linda) of Grand Rapids, Norma (James) Nied of Jenison, Carol (Rex) Frieden of IL; her 21 grandchilren; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Winifred Dantuma; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Marguerite Koster, Betty Koster, Helen VanDellen, Eleanor (James) Kok and Gerard (Esther) Koster.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Margaret's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). A cemetery committal service will be held 11 AM Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial Services will be held 2 PM Monday at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), with Pastor Robert VanManen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Christian school of your choice or to Little Farms Chapel Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Margaret's family would like to express special thanks to Faith Hospice, Brookcrest Nursing Home and Sunset Manor for the compassionate care given during her last weeks and days on this earth.
