
She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Jones; parents Burtt and Anne Brinks; and an infant brother.
Marilyn will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years Walter DeWitt; children, Jan Steve Goodmonson and Bob Julie DeWitt; son-in-law Bill Joanne Jones; grandchildren, Bryan Georgiana Jones, Amy Jones, Stephanie Goodmonson, Jacob DeWitt, Eric Goodmonson, and Wyatt DeWitt; great granddaughter Lindsay Jones; sisters, Connie Ira DeYoung and Kay Jerry Burdick; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church 2350 44th St. with Pastor Timothy Brown officiating.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will meet with relatives and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville 4235 Prairie St. SW - west building.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Christ Lutheran Stained Glass Window Project.
