Martin Buikema

BUIKEMA – Martin Buikema went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 29, 2016 surrounded by his family. Martin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Mae Buikema, children; Terri and Timothy Nielsen, Tamara and Dean Smith, Thomas and Jodi Buikema, grandchildren; Brad and Mandy Vlastuin, Kristen and Christian Johnson, Stacie Smith, Jamie Smith, Ryan Buikema, Chad and Cathy Buikema, Jason and Nicole Buikema, Alyssa Buikema, Tommy Buikema, Tyler Buikema and many great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his uncle and special friend, Ken and Gail Rinvelt.

Mart loved to volunteer his time by helping out his neighbors and friends. He enjoyed his many years working as a tool and die maker at Steelcase.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 2 at 2PM with visitation one hour prior.
