So sorry to hear of Uncle Mart's passing. It's never easy to lose a parent. Please know that our prayers are with you all at this sad time. I remember when your Dad and Mom were dating and they would babysit for Barbara and me. He was always so much fun. He was always one of my favorite uncles and I will miss him.

Dear sweet Mr. Slagter. I remember you so well. I have not thought of you in over 49 years but, when I saw your obituary... Memories flooded in. You were such a gentleman. I am a teacher now, I teach middle school math. I believe that I teach because of the influences of the teachers who molded my life. Thank you for helping me become me. Your legacy lives on in your beautiful family but also in the thousands of student's lives you touched.

Dear family your dad taught me alot spending time in his office a many times. But he taught me to be the man I am today a public servant for over 30 years just like he was in school and his military service. I THANK YOU SIR for your service i will always remember our last visit at the fire house and i heard you hollar out my name and i snapped around like in school.i will truly miss your dad. I'm so sorry to hear of Martin's passing....my love and prayers are said for the whole family.....I will always be appreciative of all the memories of great times we had at the lake and of course at the golf course....Martin has left a wonderful legacy in his great family and is now with his beloved Phyllis and our Lord....
