His sister Michelle preceded him in death. Surviving are his parents John and Joyce; sisters, Tami Jim Wisniewski, Lori Gary Alles, Amy Ken Yonker; nieces and nephews; Eric, Jimmy, Jason, Ryan, Matt, Jessica, Johnny, Drew, Emily, Caitlyn, and Courtney; very special friends, Ross Hoffman, David and Cindy Root.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers at Spectrum Butterworth on 6 South and at Hospice of Holland Home - Breton Manor for their wonderful care.

The service of Celebration for Michael’s life will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St SW - east building.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Reformed Church of Grandville Scholarship Fund, Hospice of Holland Home - Breton Manor, or the Kent County Humane Society.
