My condolences to Muriel's family in the loss of a great lady! I worked with her many, many years ago at Payne's Pharmacy. It was my first job and she took me under her wing and taught me everything she knew. I loved working with her and have thought about her often over the years.

I have so many wonderful memories of Muriel. As a little girl, I would help her run the cash register at Payne's Pharmacy and sometimes get into her lipstick! As I grew up, I worked with her a time or two at D&W, in the pharmacy. Every trip I made into that grocery store, I was always greeted by her with a warm smile and a "Hi Hun." I feel very fortunate to have known such a wonderful, fun and caring woman. Muriel will be dearly missed. Sincerely, Erin Don and Boys

I worked for many years at D&W pharmacy with Muriel. She was a joy to work with and I considered her my friend. I loved how she always had to buy up all the sale items, because "it was a really good deal".

I started working with Muriel 29 years ago at D&W. We immediately became great friends. You could not help but love her. She was so very generous and giving. My boys will always remember her as Grandma Muriel. Many times she helped care for them when my husband and I had to be away. We never forgot about each other on our birthdays or Christmas. We just celebrated by birthday two weeks ago by having a lobster lunch. It was our tradition for both our birthdays. I will remember her daily because of the many gifts in my home that she made for me. She was one of the best and I will miss her deeply.

Randy thank you for sharing your mom with sooo many people. She always thought when we moved away that we would not see her any more, how could we miss the 4th of July. I'm truly blessed that we were so close and could do so many things together. It didn't seem to matter what time of the year it was or how bad the weather was we could go out to eat and shop. She loved going to chicago and even there she would run into people she new. It alway seemed to blow my mind. Other than shopping she did teach me many things that will stay with me in my life. We could always have fun together. There is so much more about her that we all loved and will miss. Thank you again for sharing Ken, Debbie and Christopher

Our love and prayers are with you today and in the days ahead. We always enjoyed the time we spent with your Mom. She seemed to enjoy going up north with Norma. We usually came on the weekend when they were up there. Especially this time of the year she enjoyed the beauty of fall up there. And of course we had to play cards. She always had dish cloths made for me, which I still have a couple of them. Thinking of you in the days ahead.
