Norma Mae Thompson, age 83, passed away November 21, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Laura Clawson; brothers Harold, Don, and Bobby Clawson; daughter, Mandy Coffee; and husband of 65 years, Bob Thompson.
She will be lovingly missed by children Terri Bond, Gary Thompson, Bill Thompson, Karen Scroggins, Chris Thompson; grandchildren Valerie, Krisini, Charity, Vanessa, Trisha, Misty, Sierra, Michael, Josh, Amanda, Zach, Jeremy, Anthony, Wesley, Austin, Kendra; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Norma was a teacher’s aide of special needs students and a pastor’s wife in the Wesleyan church. She taught herself to cook and play piano. She enjoyed cleaning, she loved her children - especially Poco :) - and eating ice cream.
There will be no formal services, but there will be a gathering of friends and family for an ice cream social from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Friendship Wesleyan Church. Please bring your favorite memories, pictures of Norma, and ice cream topping to share.
