Olivia Lucy Shemes

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents Lisa (Charlie) Yerkes and Dave Shemes; siblings David Shemes, Grace Alaniz, Grace Yerkes, Addison Yerkes; grandparents John and Lucy Walker, Charles and Linda Shemes, Wendy Yerkes; aunts and uncles John Walker, Jeremy (Amanda) Walker, Emily (Scott) Taylor, Kimberley (Ed) Huot; many cousins and extended family, friends, and her dog, Ace.

Olivia could light up a room without a switch! She was passionate about softball and dance and was never limited by her chair. She had a kind heart and free spirit that lead her to a destination that most people couldn’t see or comprehend. Everyone she met left with a greater understanding of love, living, and compassion.

A time to visit with family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville (West building). A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Cemetery, 4100 Clyde Park, Wyoming, MI.
