Patricia Ann DeWent-Goeman

Patricia Ann DeWent-Goeman, age 78, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at American House in Jenison, supported by Faith Hospice and loved deeply by her family. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lee DeWent and second husband, Ralph James Goeman.

She will be sadly missed by her children Cheryl (Thomas) Zwagerman, Douglas (Deborah) DeWent, Timothy (Dawn) DeWent, Kimberly (Calvin) Matz and Kristi (Scott) Huyser; grandchildren Dr. Nathan (Lisa) Zwagerman, Michael (Kari) Zwagerman, T. Luke (Kari) Zwagerman, Jacob Zwagerman, Bryce DeWent, Sarah DeWent, Shaun DeWent, Brittany DeWent, Natassja DeWent, Kayla Matz, Alyssa Matz, Lea Matz, Corey Huyser and Rachael Huyser; eight great-grandchildren; step-children Rick (Jan) Goeman, Rich (Gerri Darroca) Goeman, Robert (Maureen) Goeman, step-grand-children Tanya Goeman, Tiffany (Joe) Root, Andrea Goeman, Michelle (Josh) Munsee, Dani (Nick) Goeman-Bafunno, Hannah Goeman, Josiah, Micah, and Jubilee Goeman; and nine step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Lou (Gary) Wierenga; brothers David Lee (Sharon) Waring, Bernie (Rita) Waring; sister-in-law, Verna Van Oss.

She worked for many years at Fields Fabrics and owned DeWent Gravel Company in Jenison, taught 4H and Gems at church. She was treasurer at her Grand Rapids knit club and volunteered at the Jenison Thrift Store.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI. Relatives and friends may meet Patricia's family from 5-8 PM Monday, April 29, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI as well as one hour prior to the service.
