
BEKKERING - Raymond Bekkering, age 78, of Byron Center passed away November 15, 2001 and went to be with his Lord. Raymond was a layspeaker at South Wyoming United Methodist Church for 37 years. Mr. Bekkering enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Raymond is survived by his wife of 31 years Verna; children Jim Marcia Bekkering of Byron Center, Mary Adrian Potter, Judy James Mulligan all of Dorr, Wanda Raymond Vander Molen of Fremont, Verla Larry Isenhoff also of Byron Center, Chris Bekkering, Timothy Dawn Bekkering all of Dorr; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, George Rita Bekkering of Evart, Nelson Agnes Bekkering of Spokane, WA; one sister Dorothy Berkompas of Wyoming; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday 11 a.m. from the Cook Funeral Home - Byron Center 2067 - 84th St. with Pastor Ronda Prater of South Wyoming United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery.
The family will meet with relatives and friends Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home - Byron Center.
