Regine "Jean" Marie Meyers

Jean was born April 27, 1926 in Ludington, MI to Hans and Julia Jensen. She was raised in Pentwater, living with her mother and step-father, Joe Schmiedt. In her early years, Jean helped in the family business which included both a bakery and a restaurant. Following her education at Hope College, Jean met her husband-to-be, Jacob Meyers, while working at Michigan Bell. Jean faithfully attended the church she loved, Wyoming Seventh-Day Adventist, and was very active at the Grandville Senior Center enjoying her friends and the various activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob; brother and sister, Ward Jensen, and Julie Wiley. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, James (Lenore) Meyers, and Jon (Debra) Meyers; grandchildren, Kevin, Joshua (Angie), Alicia (Michael), and Kari (Patrick); and great-granddaughter, Vera.

Jean’s memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Friday October 21, 2016 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, with Pastor Dan Rachor officiating. Relatives and friends may meet her family Friday from 3 - 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
