He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marti; his daughters, Susan Higgins and Julia Richard Buys; his grandchildren, Lindsay, Allison, and Grant; his mother Dorothy Higgins; his brother William Higgins; his sister Patricia Paul Spangenberg; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dick was past president of the Grandville/Jenison Jaycees and a member of the Georgetown Township Planning Commission for ten years.
The family will meet with relatives and friends on Saturday, February 22, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville West Building, 4235 Prairie St. SW.
