Richard Stevens

Richard Stevens, age 83 went to be with his Lord, on Friday, May 11, 2012. Richard peacefully slipped through the veil and is at peace. He joins his wife of 57 years, Margaret, who he has deeply missed for the last six years. Richard is survived by his six children Dan (Marcia) Stevens, Sandra Stevens, Mark (Valerie) Stevens, LCDR (ret.) Dick (Joan) Stevens, Marsha (Wayne) Sperry and Kathleen Stevens; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Richard retired as a letter carrier. He spent some time as a VFW Post Commander. Richard served his country in the Army and was stationed in Austria just after WWII.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm, Tuesday, May 15th at Cook Funeral Home Grandville 4236 Prairie St SW. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday May 16th at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 2670 a?" 56th St. SW with visitation one hour prior. Bishop Allen Smith will be officiating. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park. In honor of Richard, contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or Spectrum Health Hospice.
