
He was preceded in death by his first wife Judy; his parents, Oscar and Anna Sund; and his sister Noreen Eniex.
He is survived by his wife Patty Sund; his children, Kim John Haan, Richard Jr. and fiancAC.e Sharon Farr, and Rochelle James Wareiczuk; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jordon, Breigh, and Tiffany; his sister Lois Day; his brother-in-law Ernie Eniex; his father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Emily Talsma; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
After returning from the service Richard spent 36 years working for the railroad.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St. SW - east building with Rev. James Bugg of Victory Church officiating.
The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kent County Humane Society or a Charity of One’s Choice.
