Robert Jerry Dean

DEAN - Robert 'Jerry' Dean, age 66 of Muskegon, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001 surrounded by his family. Jerry was a black-belt in Judo and a student of Karate. Jerry also helped to introduce the sport of dog sled racing to the West Michigan area. He loved hunting, being outdoors, watching sunsets and the 'patio'. Left to remember his humor and love of life are his children, Deb Craig Lampani, Dawn Dan Taliaferro, Dea Jeff Johnson; the mother of his children, Pat Dean; his mother Gertrude Dean; eight grandchildren; sister Cheryl Denny Moran; and special friend Carol Krypel. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jerry's life on Saturday at 3 p.m. from Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW, in Grandville. The family will meet with relatives and friends from 12 noon to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Cook Funeral Home, Grandville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Muskegon County or the Elks of Muskegon, Lodge #274.
