Robert D. Hanson

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 45 years Floretta Vander Zouwen; his children, Robert Kerri Hanson, Sue David Morse, Amy James Braendle, and Darla Terry DeKoster; his 9 grandchildren, Julie, Tracie, Tyler, Tara, David, Benjamin, Sarah, Timothy, Donald; his sisters, Barbara Mattice, Leona Robert Plocki, Faye, and Linda; his brother James Hanson; his brother-in-law Cornelius Thelma Vander Zouwen; a very special nephew Jerry Werkema; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

After returning from serving four years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, Robert spent many years as a truck driver.

He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time working on his model railroad in his home.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St SW - east building with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.

Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of Ones Choice.
