Robert Kline Hartman

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Kape Hartman in 1984, and his wife, Violet VandenBerg Hartman in 2002, and his sisters and brother, Gladys Owens, Charlotte Troupe, and Alfred Hartman. He will be deeply missed by his children, Alys Tim Thompson of Freesoil, Janise Tom Dolce of Jenison, Sue Paul DeBoode also of Jenison, and Bob Kathy Hartman of Wyoming; step-sons, Tom Ann Vandenberg of Caledonia, and Clifford Lynn VandenBerg of FL; nine grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; brother and sister, Earl Hartman of Caledonia, and Ruth Duane Ulm of IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie SW, with Rev. Tom Pier-Fitzgerald officiating. Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet Bob’s family Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building. Those unable to attend the visitation or funeral service may sign the family’s Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kent District Library.
