I remember meeting Robin back in the 80's. I instantly liked her. In 1983 I lived with her in Traverse City for about 4 months while I was trying to find a job. We had so much fun together. Every day was filled with laughter. I remember riding my bike to visit her while she was working the switchboard at the college. I'm not sure when we lost touch but I went many years without seeing her. Then I found her on facebook. We exchanged numbers and we talked for the first time in a lot of years. You would have never know time had gone by. Although we talked, we never got together. Finally, last Dec (I think) I was at Meijer Heart hospital when my mother-in- law was having surgery. I knew Mark was in the hospital too. My family and I were in the cafeteria eating when my husband said, "isn't that Robin over there"? I turned and low and behold there was my friend. I couldn't get up fast enough to go give her a hug. I found out that she had sent me a text asking if that was me sitting in front of her. Our visit was cut short since we were called to return to my mother-in-law. We said our goodbyes and I left. That was the last time I saw her although I spoke to her a few times through messages and a couple phone calls.I am very very grateful for that short time in the cafeteria. I will always remember her smile and her concern for my family. She touched my life in so many ways. Mark, you and your family have my deepest condolences. Robin's love for you showed every time I spoke with her. You will all be in my prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss. Robin was just 2 months older than I. I always remember our childhood times and thinking even then that she was uniquely special and kind.
