

Ruth May Feenstra Lamberts, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Ray Feenstra; second husband, Milton Lamberts; parents Matthew and Nina Huyser; and siblings Rofenna (Don) Verberkmoes, Dick (Lorraine) Huyser, and Jack (Martha) Huyser. She will be remembered by her children Thomas (Sharon) Feenstra, James (Delores) Feenstra, Bill (Jean) Feenstra, Jack (Judie) Feenstra, and John (Connie) Feenstra; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ruth was a pin-up girl with her husband Ray's ground crew in England during World War II. The B-17 "The Flack Happy Ruthy Mae" was named for her. Ruth loved to work in her garden, visit with friends at the Senior Center, take day trips, and paint pictures from some of her childhood memories. She liked to go camping, especially at Silver Lake. She was able to visit Silver Lake and the sand dunes many times in the last 20 years.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 10 - 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Ruth’s life will commence immediately following at 11 a.m.
In honor of Ruth and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation. Interment will be at Washington Park Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
