Her grandchildren were especially fond of her homemade buttermilk pancakes and chocolate malts. She and Jack enjoyed an active lifestyle, beginning with how they met rollerskating, and going on to include biking, long walks in Grand Haven with Pronto Pups, traveling, and game nights with friends. They also enjoyed serving the community by delivering for Meals at Home and serving meals at God’s Kitchen. Ruth worked as a cashier at Meijer before retiring after 25 years of service.
A celebration of Ruth’s Life will commence 2 p.m. Friday January 26, 2024 at Georgetown Cemetery. Pastor Don VanSlyke will be officiating. In honor of Ruth and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jenison Christian School or Unity Christian High School.
