Sara Elizabeth (Hartger) Wind, age 48, a precious child of God by amazing grace, is forgiven and free of the constraints of her earthly body. As dawn broke March 12, 2024, Sara passed into the presence of her Savior after a ten year battle with multiple sclerosis.
Missing her already but knowing she is at peace are her husband, Ryan Wind; children Jacob, Alex, Isaac (wife Laura, daughters Kaylin and Sariah), and Kaitlyn Wind; parents Jim and Ginny Hartger; brother, Brian (wife Beth, children Rachel, James, and Andrew) Hartger; grandmother, Barbara Bosma; Ryan’s sister, Shelley (husband Monty, daughter Autumn Cook) Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sara was preceded in death by grandparents Jameson Bosma and Harold and Bette Hartger; Ryan's parents Larry and Char Wind; and nephew, Gary “Little G” Cook.
Our family appreciates the compassionate care given by St. Mary’s Wound Care nurses and Dr. Peg, the staff of Medilodge of Wyoming, and of Hospice of Holland. The pastors and members of our Seymour Church family have loved and blessed our family in so many ways over the years. Thank you to all. Sara was an example of “patience in affliction," and her listening ear and sense of humor remained to the end.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan.
