I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for all of the loving support we have received over the past two weeks. The celebration of life that Dawn brought to us all has been exemplified through the truly awesome responses we have been receiving. These responses have included cards, letters, emails, floral arrangements, meals, warm cookies & banana bread, phone calls and visits, just to name a few. But the most wonderful response we have received is one that is obtained through observation. What Dawn brought to us all, we have been returning to one another ten-fold: love, sincerity, smiles, laughter, hugs, concern for others, open affection. These have all flown more freely than I have ever seen among all those who were touched by Dawn. What a wonderful tribute. She brought this out in us and it has been beautiful to observe. In that, I will have one of my fondest memories of my beautiful wife.

 Mary and I are grieved at the loss of Dawn. I grew up with Dawn in Mobile and went to High School with her. I have nothing but wonderful memories of her! Wonderful times we spent together flowed along with the tears we were shedding. We will miss her greatly. We will keep all the family in our prayers.

We were saddened to hear of Dawn's death. Dawn was one of my best and brightest students. I was proud of being a matchmaker to Shawn and Dawn, although it was only incidental. We took great joy in attending Dawn and Shawn's wedding in Mobile. We were gladdened by their annual Christmas letters. We wish to extend to Shawn and their children, her parents, and her brothers our profound sympathy for them in this terrible time. Her death is such a great loss to her family, her colleagues, and all that she came into contact with. We will miss her smile and the wonderful intelligence behind it. In sadness.

I was just telling my children the Sunday before the accident what a great person Dawn was and how we shared fun times in high school, though we had lost touch The children and I were looking through the album I put together of high school.
