Sybrand Dehaan

Sybrand "Boba?? DeHaan, age 85, went to be with his Lord, Monday, April 4, 2011. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert DeHaan; great- grandson, Owen Carpenter; daughter-in-law, Patricia DeHaan; his sisters, Sue Kiser and Ann Phillips. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Julia DeHaan; his children, Judith (Gordon) Carpenter, Howard DeHaan, Gordan (Lisa) DeHaan, Mark (Diane) DeHaan; daughter-in-law, Alice DeHaan; his 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Sidney (Carolyn) DeHaan, Marguerite Vander Heide, Tena Freyling, Esther Jourden, Jeannette Dick, Cornelius (Marilyn) DeHaan, Peter DeHaan, Gordon (Virginia) DeHaan and Ruth Schuiling; brother-in-law John (Lucille) Huisman; sisters-in-law Alice VanLuinen and Frances Bootsma; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 a?" 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jenison, 1481 Baldwin St., with visitation beginning at 10 AM. In honor of Bob, contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church a?" Haiti Fund, or Northern Michigan Christian High School, in lieu of flowers.
