

Farrar- Terry G., passed away on June 19, 2010, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 18, 1931 to Ersa M. Gay and Leo Richard Farrar, both of whom preceded him in death and are awaiting his arrival with open arms. Terry leaves behind his wife of 50 years; Petra "Petie" V. Carbajal; daughter Beverly Sue Coyle and her special friend, Frank Klassen; son, Michael L. Ellen M. Farrar; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Olivera; and great grandson, Maddox James Olivera. Terry also leaves behind his sister, Patricia Kammeraad; nephews Scott Debra Kammeraad and Brian Shari Kammeraad; as well as a very special brother-in-law, Isaac Bruna Carbajal. Also preceding Terry in death are two very special friends, Gene Southard and Donald J. DePree, with whom he spent many days enjoying outdoor activities such as fishing and deer hunting. Terry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as flight line mechanic for bomber for squadrons in Japan, Newfoundland and stateside during the Korean War. Terry spent his entire 41 year career working at Lear Siegler now GE Aviation, starting out as a tool crib attendant and retiring as the Systems and Procedures Manager at the Eastern Ave. facility. Terry enjoyed all outdoor activities. He will be dearly missed by the guys at "Mosquito Alley" deer camp as well as all of his friends in the Great Lakes Senior Golf League, the Builders Exchange Bowling League, and the Customline Golf League.
Funeral arrangements have been made through Cook Funeral Home-Grandville Chapel where family will receive friends and visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010; a brief memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 at Cook Memorial Chapel, after which, at Terry's request, he will be cremated. He will be interred in our hearts and memories.
