Theresa Marie Drost, Age 45, went to be with the Lord October 12, 2022. With grace, dignity, and courage, Theresa lived her life as a beautiful curator of truth and beauty, and she was beloved by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Matthew Black; stepdaughter, Haley Hoffer; and stepgrandson, Andrew Dedula. In addition, Theresa is survived by her cherished parents Joseph Drost and Sandra (Ackerberg) Drost. Theresa leaves behind sister, Alicia (Drost) Seifert; brother-in-law, Jamie Seifert; niece, Lea Seifert; nephew, Conrad Seifert; best friend, Michele Siegel; precious dogs Archer and Joy; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers. Theresa is survived by an array of people too vast to enumerate, each one uniquely woven into her story and her heart.
Theresa’s call on earth was to make everyone and everything better. Theresa was an extraordinary nurturer of life and nature, a gifted artist, and a lifelong learner. Theresa found peace and oneness with Matt as they took long hikes, trips to the mountains, and enjoyed the awesomeness of God’s creation. Theresa taught us how to love with empathy and compassion. Theresa was timeless in her beauty and steadfast in her resolve. Theresa was persistent through life’s adversities, often without a complaint. Her smile lit up a room, her wit and sense of humor was so sharp and delightful. Her sense of style and her love to make everything remarkable was an inspiration to her family, friends, and coworkers. Theresa sees each person as a gift and embraced everyone’s uniqueness and differences. Her calm and comfortable spirit allowed everyone to truly be themselves and she embraced each person with an approach that valued them and left a lasting impact with every interaction. Theresa loved with unparalleled loyalty.
