Tess was preceded in death by her husband, James Coleman; sister, Kay Teerman; brothers Peter, Dr. Harvey, Marvin, and Rev. John Staal.
She will be lovingly missed by her sister, Anna Mae England, and special niece, Ruth (Jon) Vruggink; and many nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren and friends.
Tess graduated from Hope College and Michigan State University. She taught several years at Godwin Heights High School and later owned Newman Audio and Visual Company.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St., SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
In honor of Tess and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope College Scholarship Fund.
