Thomas (Tom, TK) Wayne Kelly, age 76, went home to be with his Savior after a four year struggle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Janell Kelly. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Betty Kelly; children Kim (Mark) Patrie, Ange (Brian) Bennett; grandchildren Nick, Sam (Lucy), Austin, Timothy, Drew; siblings Bob, Roger (Carrie), Eileen (Sam) Hibner, Janet Lindvall, Ralph (Betty), Jim (Peg); and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Tom had a passion for music. He played guitar from the age of 13 and sang in many bands; in his later years, he played for free in coffee shops under the name TK. He especially loved playing for close family and friends in campgrounds, backyards, and garages. Tom was also an award-winning athlete in his high school years in track, baseball, and basketball; later in life, golf was also a passion. When he wasn’t involved in playing sports, he was an avid spectator. Tom enjoyed people and would easily become friends with anyone he met. He accepted Christ in his 20’s and his faith guided him throughout the rest of his life. Tom will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Honoring his wishes, Tom has been cremated. A celebration of life service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at South Blendon Reformed Church, 4817 Port Sheldon St., Hudsonville, MI 49426, with visitation from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
