Thomas Michael Muir of Newaygo, MI, passed away peacefully, after time spent with family, on December 24, 2024. Tom was a loving father and grandfather. He received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and his DDS degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Tom practiced dentistry in Rochester, MI and North Muskegon, MI for a total of 44 years. Tom’s interests included sailing, golfing, hunting, kayaking, biking, and all things outdoors and in or near the water.
Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Muir; father, James Muir; brother, Jack (John) Muir; and niece, Jennifer Delorey. He is survived by daughter, Caitlin Gierz; son-in-law, Andy Gierz; granddaughter, Colette Gierz; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Joanne Muir, Rick and Diane Muir; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Ray Fletcher; sister, Mary Hessler; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
