Trena Joyce Coffman

Trena Joyce Coffman (Schutte) age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, and went to join her Savior and her son Nathan on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Arthur Thomas Coffman, sons Joe & Sandie Coffman, Mark and Karla Coffman, Thomas & Kristi Coffman, Dr. Jonathon Coffman, Timothy and Tanya Coffman, Aaron and Megan Coffman. She was preceded in death by her son Nathaniel Coffman. She especially loved her “daughters in love.” Trena Joyce had 16 grandchildren that she loved with all her heart, six great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren waiting to make their appearance. Joyce’s life was marked by love for everyone she met, her heart was full of compassion for children all over the world. She loved missions, missionaries and her dog, Rio.

Trena left her impression subtly, quietly, but unmistakably in the way that she lived her life every day. She was a living example of Jesus' love. He was the Lord of her life. She lived out in her daily living what she believed in her heart.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Prayer Chapel of Grand Rapids First, 2100 44th St. SW. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet her family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville and one hour prior to service at church.
