Wayne Archie Cook

Wayne Archie Cook, a beloved, faithful, resilient, and joyous individual, passed away January 20, 2026, at the age of 84. Born April 10, 1941, in Charlotte, Michigan to parents Archie and Lois, Wayne lived a life marked by laughter, dedication, and strength.

A proud military veteran and member of the Air Force, Wayne's career was a testament to his unwavering commitment and service. His contributions and achievements in the military were a source of great pride and respect.

Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his children Melissa (Chris) Kalisch, and Andrew (Joyce) Cook, Eric Cook, Kacie Cook; grandchildren Amanda (Dan) Kapenga, Andy (Janelle) Cook, Angie (Matt) Kidwell, April (Matt) Brott, Billy (Jamie) Barrington, Joshua Barrington, Matthew Weber, Katlyn (Reginald) Jones, Keith Cook, Jeremy (Kyrstn) Cook, Elizabeth Cook, and Sarah Cook; as well as 36 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Erma; parents Archie and Lois; and brother, Dean Cook.

Wayne will be remembered for his humor and warm spirit, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior. Following the service the family welcomes you to join them for a luncheon at Burnips United Methodist Church, 4241 30th St, Burnips, MI, 49314.
