William Edwin Dewing

DEWING - William Edwin Dewing, age 85, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday July 23, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Annie L. Wagner Dewing, on July 3, 2007.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Debbie Mark Kopinski of NYC and Bill Cathy Dewing of Jenison; granddaughters, Shawn Brian Smith and Celena Kopinski; grandson, Bill Holly Dewing; great grandchildren, A.J. and Cassidy Smith and Masyn and Wil Dewing.

After serving in the army during WWII, Bill worked as a buyer for both General Electric and Lear Siegler. He loved jazz music and was a charter member of the West Michigan Jazz Society. Bill was also a member of his church council and a Mason.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Lutheran Church 1934 - 52 St SE - Kentwood with Pastor Thomas Meyer officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to St. Mark Lutheran School or the Alzheimers Association.
