William Torreson

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Martha Torreson; children Jonathan (Taylor) Torreson of Decatur, Illinois and Victoria (Jerimiah) Trute of Grand Rapids, Michigan; mother, Vicky Torreson of St. Paul, Minnesota; grandchild, Milo Torreson; siblings Rodney (Paulette) Torreson, Dean Torreson, Kathy (Lino) Rodriguez, Thomas (Carrie) Torreson, and Richard (Pamela) Torreson; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Being a loving husband, father, and grandfather was most important to Bill. His Christian faith motivated all he did, which was evident in his kind spirit. He was a member of Holy Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Bill’s kind humor and making others smile encouraged all who knew him. Family and simplicity defined his living. Bill competed in high school on the wrestling and football teams in Terril, Iowa. He treasured his memories of growing up in rural Iowa and of his close family ties with his siblings and extended family. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, bike riding, and fixing antique radios, bicycles, and lawn mowers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, June 1, 2020, with visitation one hour prior, at Holy Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 4201 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. Pastor Steve Schamber will be officiating.

In honor of Bill and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for funeral and medical expenses.
