

Donald B. Thomas passed away on February 16th, 2025 at the ripe old age of 93. He was born in Middletown, Ohio to Russel and Myra Thomas in 1932. After graduating with a Master's degree in accounting from Ohio State, he worked as an accountant for the coal mining industry in Pennsylvania and West Virgina. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska in the 1950s where he met his wife, Lynn, and opened an accounting firm - Thomas, Head, and Greisen. Their only child, Gwen, was born in 1972. In 1982, Don retired and the family moved to Grants Pass, Oregon. Retirement did not slow him down. He became involved with the Elks Lodge and rose to the highest office of Exalted Ruler. He was also involved with the Gospel Rescue Mission, the Gideons, the Genealogical Society, the Historical Society, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Episcopal and Anglican churches. He was preceded in death by his wife Cora "Lynn" Thomas of Grants Pass, and twin sisters Jane and Joan Thomas of Middletown, Ohio. He is survived by his daughter Gwen (Thomas) Rowe of Wilsonville, and granddaughters Madeline Rowe and Dakota McCollum.
A private internment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
