Joanne Elizabeth Davies

Joanne Elizabeth Davies, age 77, passed away at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, OR on January 21, 2018. Joanne was born November 1, 1940 to her parents, Paul Ward and Jeanne Elizabeth Williams in El Paso, Texas.

Joanne graduated from Millikan High School in Long Beach, California in 1958. She lived in Costa Mesa, California and worked at Rockwell International in Production Control and NDT Inspection from 1960 – 1969. She then worked at Royal Industries as an NDT Inspector until her move to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1975. In Grants Pass she worked at Litton Industries - Guidance and Control Division as a Manager of Production Control/Overhaul and Repair from 1975 – 1992. In 1992 when Litton closed, she went back to school and got her Associates Degree in Accounting at Rogue Community College. Joanne worked in Accounts Payable and Payroll at ESAM from 1997 – 2002 when she retired. In her retirement, Joanne loved to keep busy. She volunteered for quite a few years as a Bailiff at the Josephine County Courts. Her favorite time was every summer when her whole family would come to Grant Pass and ride the Hellsgate Jetboats together.

Left to honor and remember Joanne are her partner of over 30 years, Jon Shahan of Grants Pass: her 3 daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Eric Mockridge of Bonanza, Kelley and Don Brent of Bend, and Shelley and Jack Mickel of Forest Grove. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren: Brian and Jamie Mockridge (Jessie, Madison, Parker, and Kaylee) of Grants Pass; Nicholas Mockridge (Quinn) of Bonanza, Tyler and Bailie Mockridge (Tucker and Hesston) of Bonanza; Jordan and Jana Mockridge (Harper) of Bonanza; and Carson and Jessica Mockridge (Kendall, Erika, and Rilynn) of Bonanza. Brady Brent of Bend, Seth Brent of Bend, and Keldon Brent of Bend. Brittany Mickel and Austin Wing of Beaverton; Bailey and Skyler Gober of Oceanside, CA, Jackson Mickel of Forest Grove, and Jalen Mickel of Forest Grove. Joanne is also survived by nephew David and Linda Williams of Texas, and nieces Tracy Williams of Texas, and Shannon and Mark Latulippe of Delaware. She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Williams, brothers John and Jim Williams, and her mother and father Paul and Jeanne Williams.
