It's been another year .... now a total of four .... it's been so long since we heard your voice or the fun in your laughter... it seems like hundreds of years .... There is literally no Happiness nor Experience that we could have that would  take away the pain caused by your absence Matthew... a hole that can never be filled a broken heart 💔 impossible to heal... we will forever miss you and can only hope we get to be together again some day...

It been a year now Matthew since we lost 💔  you. Even though this is what a calendar says , To your Mom and I there is NO measurement of time to explain the painful absence of your Voice or the Joy your Smile filled our hearts with. When you left us , So did the meaning that each day use to hold. There's no words that can explain the emptiness created when thoughts and dreams parents have for the future of sharing with their children is taken away from them ... It then makes each and every day from that moment on feel like a day with no purpose. You Feel Nothing like you should!

Great guy. I know he's up there looking down. God rest his soul

We lost our child today. 
People came to weep and cry, as we just sat and stared. They struggled to find words to say, to try and make the pain go away, we walked the floor in disbelief, we lost our child today.

We lost our child. 
Most of the people went away, some still call and some still stay. We wait to wake up from this dream. This can't be real. We want to scream. Yet everything is locked inside, God, help me, we want to die. We lost our child.

We lost our child last year. 
Now people who had come, have gone. We sit and struggle all day long. To bear the pain so deep inside. Calls came in as we slept, our ringer was off, last night of peace. And now our friends just question, Why? Why does this mother  and father not move on? Just sit and sing the same old song. Good heavens, it has been so long. We lost our child last year.

Time has not moved on for us . 
The numbness it has disappeared. 
Our eyes have now cried many tears. 

We see the look upon your face, 
They must move on and leave this place." 

Yet we are trapped right here in time. 
The song’s the same, as is the rhyme. 
We lost our child today..

I’m so sorry to hear of Matt’s passing! We went to high school together and I worked with him many years ago. He was always such a sweet and funny guy! Heart of gold.  Condolences to the family ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear of this! Matt was such a joy! He worked at Dutch Bros and always was smiling and having fun! He had an authentic care for others! I just learned about your passing today! I am so saddened to hear you left this earth. You were one of the great ones with an amazing spirit and smile.  My prayers to your family!  

Matt grew up with my nephew Tyler Baker and daughter Chelsea. Matt is so handsome, soft spoken, kind and is a beautiful soul. It’s with great sadness that I hear of his passing. He’s the nicest guy I will cherish his smile 🙏🏻💕

If you were lucky enough to get to know Matt you most likely have some great memories. Over the last few years we got to have some great bonding moments. No words for how thankful I am for those moments. He was always there if ya needed a shoulder.. All around great freaking guy. I am so proud of you little brother!! I will try to do my best to keep my game face on. Until we meet again, I will continue missing you bro!!  Love always... Mike ❤

I just want to say, I was Matt's neighbor, he was my friend.  He made me laugh so hard. We had the best discussions,  and laughed our hardest in my backyard by the fire. I miss him so much.  His friendship meant so much to me.  His hugs were so warm and kind,  just like him. 

Spent forever thinking of the right words to write. But there are not any “right words.” You will be missed, Matt, with so many incredible, positive memories to live on. Forever our neighbor since we were just babies, every single childhood memory- all the way through high school together, and so much more.. sending so much love to your family during this time. ❤️

We just can't understand how you can be taken away from us when you had so much to offer to everyone here.. Never was there not a smile left on a persons face that you had been in the presence of. The only thing that can ever make sense of it all ,,  when you had so much to offer,, Must be ,, What you had to offer here is needed much greater elsewhere.. Your Mom and I believe there must have been another set of Wings to be given,,, And they belong to You ..

Matt and I go way back to the days of elementary school. He was one of my first friends when moving to Oregon. He was always kind and made people laugh. We shared a lot of experiences going through grade school to high school together. But one thing I will never forget is how pretty girls would always follow him around no matter what age we were. I was always jealous. LOL. The fact of the matter was not only was Matt incredibly good looking and charming, but he was one of the kindest souls around. People felt supported and loved by his presence. They trusted his intentions and his heart. Matt was one of the good ones and will be forever missed. 

Dear Matt,
 You know that saying about how you don't always remember what people say to you, but you always remember how they made you feel? When I look back to high school and the times we spent together and how U made me feel, I always think of one word, Joy. Every time I left you, I always had a smile on my face, tear stained cheeks from laughing so much, and...I won't lie, sometimes a little bit of pee on my underwear from laughing so hard.  But hey, that was the beautiful force that was you. You brought joy, happiness and laughter with U, and boy was it contagious. Your sense of humor had the power to make me laugh uncontrollably. And although we weren't best friends and although we didn't hang out all the time, i can honestly say you are one of the very few people that I've met in my life, where I can look back and honestly say that every single memory I have of you was nothing but joyful.  I don't remember the words you spoke but I distinctly remember U making me feel happy. And for that I am forever grateful. When my mom(Monica Alcaraz) told me of your passing I was filled with shock & sadness and I immediately started crying. I would have never pictured this ending for you and It just hit me differently hearing about this. I mean, it feels just like yesterday when we were kids goofing off during drama class,  without a care in the world. A time when we had the whole world at our feet and we still had dreams and aspirations. It makes me feel sad and nostalgic, because i know growing up isn't easy. There's constant sorrows and heartache just around the bend. And I know life itself can seem too heavy & way too lonely at times. So all I can think to say is that i'm so very sorry Matt. But there's one thing that gives me solace. Wherever U are I know for a fact that U are happy & free. And that the sorrows of this world can no longer hold U down. So fly high into the sky my friend. So sad to hear this news. Matt was a good kid and will be missed immensely. 
I hope his parents can heal soon from this devastation.
