Norman Everette Godfrey was born June 30, 1943 in Portland, Oregon. His parents, Norman and Doris Oakes Godfrey raised him and his brother Jim in Grove, Oklahoma and Wichita, Kansas. Norman attended grade school in Grove, Oklahoma and Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Campus High School and Oklahoma Military Academy. He later attended Oregon State University.
Norman met the love of his life Kathleen Krueger and married her June 5, 1965 in Littleton, Colorado. Norman spent most of his career in carpentry work, but his love of family, hunting, fishing, and nature fulfilled his love for life.
Survivors include his loving wife Kathleen Godfrey; three children, Annette Godfrey and husband Jimmy Kagak of Wainwright, Alaska, Mark Godfrey and wife Liz Godfrey of Sandy, Oregon, Julie Godfrey and husband Jerry Rogers of Farmersville, TX. Nine grandchildren Garrett Strait (Tammy), Cody Strait (Lorraine), Abby Strait (Kory), Kyle Godfrey, Justin Godfrey, Makena Godfrey, Dagan Godfrey, Cameron Godfrey, Delaney Godfrey.
