Patsy Ann McNeal passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023 in Grants Pass, Oregon. Born in Mt Shasta, California on November 27, 1952, Patsy was one of twelve siblings. In 1973 she married the love of her life Ronald McNeal, and together they had 2 children. She was preceded in death by parents Ed and Helen, sister Diane, and brothers Timothy, Tommy, Loyd, and Donnie. She is survived by her remaining siblings Gwen, Debbie, Gene, Steve, Matt, James, Dwayne, her husband Ronald, her children Kipper and Serenity, as well as four grandchildren Trevin, Ashton, Kassidy, and Calum, and her beloved dogs Cinnamon, Lucky, and Heidi.
Patsy was raised with several siblings and very family oriented with gypsy blood in her. She loved traveling. Family was one of her passions from the very beginning. Always at every family function (nicknamed Camp Director) coordinating, cooking, several phone calls with Debbie, reminder calls to all family members, and set/clean up. Family was very important to her.
Patsy found her soulmate early in her journey of life. The love she shared with her husband is beyond measure. A perfect example of true love. Together they raised two children with love, patience, compassion, and forgiveness, Patsy did the same with her grandchildren. Attending soccer games, wrestling tournaments, plays, band performances, any milestone of achievement, and was very instrumental in helping get them to their practices, some games, and even doctor's appointments. The holidays always felt very warm and fun. She even has shirts/sweatshirts for each holiday.
When her youngest child turned twelve Patsy went to work as a waitress for several years. With a flexible schedule she was able to balance family and work. When Patsy and Ronald became empty nesters, she got a job with the city driving the public bus. She worked for RVTD (Rogue Valley Transportation District) for 15yrs and retired from there. While working there she made several lifelong friends and had a huge impact on others.
After her retirement Patsy devoted her life to her family. She has several miles of traveling under her belt traveling back and forth from Grants Pass to Redding taking care of her mom until 2022. Patsy was able to take several road trips with her mom, sisters, nieces, and granddaughter (Nashville and Hollywood to name a couple). As well as a trip to New York with Ronald to stay with Debbie’s to visit the Statue of Liberty along with several other sites.
Patsy will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever. She would always tell us to always say “I love you,” after every visit, telephone conversation, text message, and in-between. Patsy would always be on her porch waving goodbye and saying love you after any visit regardless of the weather or frequent the visits. So, remember to always say I love you.
