Brandon Jon-Kriston Lowe, 34, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2026, at Baylor Grapevine Trauma Center ICU, with his mom and sister holding his hands. Born July 2, 1991, at Lexington Memorial Hospital in Lexington, North Carolina, and raised in Davie County, Brandon brought fun and love to his relationships. He was dearly loved and always will be.
Brandon was a gentle soul with a radiant smile, a generous and caring heart, and a charismatic presence. He was known for giving the best hugs and making people feel valued. Brandon was loyal to those he loved and a great friend to joke and laugh with. A talented and creative artist and writer, Brandon expressed himself through witty, imaginative work and found peace on the golf course, where his skill matched his passion for the game. He enjoyed the water and swimming, whether in a pool, on the lake, or in the ocean. Brandon loved animals—dogs especially, cats too, and lions. He'll be thought of any time "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd plays.
Brandon deeply loved both his children. He cherished the time he spent with his daughter Jade, taking her to Downtown Dallas and to go ice skating. He also carried hope in his heart for his son, thinking of him often and looking forward to the day they could be together again.
Brandon graduated from Davie County High School in 2009 and completed coursework at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
As a child, Brandon's favorites included chicken nuggets and fries, dinosaurs, video games, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, anything Batman, and Harry Potter. He enjoyed any movie starring Robin Williams. He received the nickname "Buzz" from his Papaw Clyde after an unfortunate run-in with a beehive. Brandon loved Christmas. Throughout his life, he remained smart, caring, sensitive, and remarkably talented, touching lives with his warmth and authenticity.
Brandon's presence is irreplaceable, yet we do not grieve like those who have no hope. Brandon was a believer in Jesus Christ, accepting Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior at Union Gospel Mission Dallas, where he was baptized in 2013. Brandon loved the Lord, and he no longer bears the pain and suffering he carried in this life, as he is now in the presence of our Good, Loving Father, who works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.
Brandon is survived by his son, and his daughter, Jade Marie Love of Greenville, Texas; his mother, Vicki Lynne (McComis) Nisa (Philip) of Vero Beach, Florida; his father, Bryan Kelly Lowe (Gwendolyn) of Salisbury, North Carolina; his dad, Rodney Bailey (Diana Brandon) of Statesville, North Carolina, who loved Brandon as his own; and his grandparents, Janice McComis Chafin, Girley and Lindsey Kennedy, Helen Truell, Billy and Peggy Bailey, and Philip and Patricia Nisa.
He is also survived by his sister and lifelong friend, Amanda Bateman (Chris) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; his half-brother, Jonathan Lowe (Heather) of Salisbury, North Carolina; his step-siblings, Sarah Morris (Dewayne), Joseph Nisa, Tiffany Gregory, Michael Nisa (Ashley), and Bailey and Madison Brandon; his nieces and nephews, Veda Schulze, June and Colter Bateman, Emma and Daniel Lowe, Nicholas and Natalie Morris, Dean Jacobson, and Myles Nisa; his aunts and uncles, Dandrena Lowe, Stacey Bennett (Wade), Rickey Bailey (Rose), Thomas Nisa (Stacy), and Christine Mulrooney; and his cousins, Bret Milam, Jasmine Lanning (Jonathan), Mason Craver, Shana Nichols, Christopher and Angeline Nisa, John Paul Silvestri, and Maria, Kristina, and Lauren Mulrooney.
Brandon was preceded in death by his nephews, Maddox Schulze and Brison Determann; his cousins, Rachelle Bailey and Tony Nichols; and his grandfathers, Clyde Truell, Melvin McComis, and Daniel Lowe.
A celebration of life will be held this summer, and Brandon will be laid to rest next to his nephew Maddox in Gold Hill, North Carolina. Gifts honoring Brandon's life and memory may be made to Union Gospel Mission Dallas at https://ugmdallas.org/donation/ or 3211 Irving Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75247, or to the GiveSendGo campaign created to support the future of his daughter, Jade, at https://www.givesendgo.com/brandonlowe
Brandon's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him, in the laughter he shared, the art and words he created, and the kindness he showed so freely. Until we are together again.
